So, 56 editions and a claim, "the winning supply chain", for this edition. Last year you surprised us with a larger and renewed space; what surprises do you have in store for us this year?
Well, surprises, we hope there may be some. At the moment I do not see many, other than confirming the major achievement we made in terms of exhibition area. It took a lot of effort, and this year we hope to consolidate it with more and more exhibitors. More and more is not really accurate, because unfortunately the spaces we have are what they are, even though we have reached a certain number of exhibitors. There are 450, 451 to be exact, but we have a very long waiting list. Every year, around 150 exhibitors apply to take part and we obviously have to leave them out. For us it is not a major tragedy, although it would be better to host them all, because this still allows us to make a sort of selection in order to raise the level of the event each year.
Indeed, the numbers are important, but they are not everything. Quality and content are just as important, and we know that Agriumbria, in terms of exhibitor quality, themes addressed and the livestock component, is truly a flagship event among those in central and southern Italy.
Absolutely. Let me also add that Agriumbria is agriculture in all its facets, not even overlooking the popular market that every year is visited by thousands upon thousands not only of operators, but above all of families with their children and school groups with students who take part in events of a cultural nature as well. In short, it is an event that embraces, as I said before, the entire world of agriculture, and that "winning supply chain" we mentioned at the start of this interview is intended precisely as a connection between the various souls of agriculture, without neglecting, indeed by giving priority to, the scientific and cultural dimension.
